“A rare city of talking houses” (Manlio Brusatin)

Asolo belongs to the hill-town circuit of the Borghi più Belli d’Italia and the Association of Slow Cities, which cultivates the quality of life focusing on the environment, the cultural heritage and the protection of typical productions. There are many thematic trails to walk, to discover the historic city centre, the walls and the exceptional personalities who have loved Asolo and chosen to make it their home. Other promenades encourage the visitor to discover the trails through the landscape that lead from the city to the hills nearby. Important events include the Antiques Show, which for twenty years has been held on the second Sunday of every month, and the music and theatre festivals, including the famous Incontri Asolani chamber music festival. The city also belongs to the Bassano del Grappa Summer Opera Festival circuit, which promotes summertime performing arts events with site-specific installations in the most fascinating and memory-filled sites of the Venetian piedmont area.
